About This Game Until I Have You, is a story-driven, fast-paced, retro-aesthetic platformer, engulfed in a Cyberpunk setting.Driving you to the edge of your seat as you run n' gun through enemies, the game recounts a thrilling story of regret, love and corruption, in a city that’s gone haywire and just doesn't give a damn. This is the story of the ARTIST, a talented assassin, who has worked many dirty jobs in a long and successful career. Finally heeding the pleadings of his wife, he has decided it's time to quit this ugly business and live a simple and peaceful life. However the ARTIST’s clients know he is irreplaceable, and are unwilling to allow the craftsman to hangup his tool belt. They send him this message by kidnapping his wife, Emily, and make it clear, retirement is not an option! The ARTIST is determined to get his wife back, and prepares himself for one last assignment. He understands to be successful he needs to go all out, and he procures a rare exoskeleton suit. Although this provides him with additional powers, it also can cause hallucinations and affect his judgment. If you could save someone, how much of yourself would you be willing to sacrifice?Features: 12 Chapters of immersive story-telling Beautifully pixelated environments Fast paced action Over 60 unique Enemies and 12 Boss Fights. Great setting can't say the same about the platforming even with the gamepad. The demo is there for you to try, but after one hour. I had enough of "Until I have you" frustrating gameplay and bored of the chain of pit falls. The levels I played seemed to rely on trial and error play, the train level was a good example of this where you wouldn't even know that in order to pass a high speed run was required. The combat isn't up to much, there is little to keep me playing. Overall I'm starting to wonder if what I have played is even the same game that is currently sitting at positive reviews.. Bought this for the aesthetics, stayed for the plot. It's dark, and you get a feel of noir. Buy this if you want to have some feels for the MC and some challenging stages.. I see a wonderful game with unique mechanics hiding in here but it crashes so frequently I cannot get past the first stage. The story seems well layered and the game is drenched in atmosphere and that's what frustrates me so much that I cannot recommend you get this title in its current state. I have a core I7 at 4 ghz, a GTX 960, and 16 GB of ram with a SSD but most importantly I have WINDOWS 10. Even in compatibility mode it will not make it 5 minutes without crashing. Sad. Also it doesn't support any logical resolutions for HD monitors, only wonky ones like 1280x1000 that clip off the bottom and top and leave two black bars on the side. But by all means give it a go if you're willing to work with the comunity here ot get it running because the developer is extremely open to assisting you.*EDIT*After turning on directdraw and running in window mode all my issues are gone and I'm currently enjoying the hell out of this game. GET IT NOW WHILE ITS STILL ON SALE ITS A STEAL!. This game have an Amazing Soundtrack! Thanks a lot! ^^. I give up. The main mechanic of this game seems to be overcomming the janky, oddball control scheme. If you can do that, more power to ya. Now you'll just have to memorize 60 some odd levels as they zip past you at a zillion miles per hour. I guess some folks might enjoy all that, but then again some folks genuinely enjoy Adam Sandler movies.. Controls and camera placement can be slightly wonky but can be adapted to with some trial and error. I had a few problems getting the game to run in full screen and also controller issues but thankfully the dev helped out and I was able to play the game with a controller, still had to play in a near full size window but I can live with that. Anyway if you like anything cyberpunk this game does mostly everything in the genre very well. It has a really great (and voiced!) story and the music is excellent too. The bosses are a ton of fun because they aren't just bullet sponges and each one has their own pattern and trick to learn which was great. So if you enjoy cyberpunk like I do pick it up on a sale.. Tl;dr:Quite buggy, unnecessarily hard (likely due to it's brevity... like those old NES games), but contains a good story. This game takes a little over 4 hours to complete the story. This game is in no way worth $13.99. Only consider buying when 80% off. Upon launching, I set the game to compatibility mode so that it'd run on my Windows 10 PC.The game cut about half of the voice narrations short, it may respawn you in areas where you immediately die again, and in some situations, after finishing one level, may throw an error that crashes the game, ends the game process, and seemingly requires a restart of Steam to fix. In this game, you will certainly die in jumping from one platform to the next, unless you already know the map layout (this is where the unnecessary difficulty appears).Do download the OST however. Also, since it might launch the game instead of downloading the OST, you can download the free OST (with purchase of the game) by going to the game in your library, right clicking it, going to properties, DLC, and toggle the tick box so that it remains ticked. The OST should then begin to download. This game has a great story, but this is superseded by all the bugs I encountered, therefore giving this game a negative review.
